MEET IAN BRADLEY
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
I am a Columbia Town Center resident and student at Howard Community College. I am running for Howard County Council district 4. I currently serve as Vice-President of the Governors Grant Association's Master Board and am President of the Governors Grant 5 Board. I am also a member of the Friends of Bridge Columbia Committee and I am C0-Chairman of the Activities Committee for my church.
This past year for the Governors Grant Association I planned, organized, and executed a neighborhood beautification project. I improved the safety and security of this community by vetting and approving the insertion of a security fence for this neighborhood with the approval of the Town Center Architectural Committee. I also participated in a meeting conducted by Clive Graham who is the Administrator of the Office of Transportation to help in the development of the Transit Development Plan.
Currently, I have written a proposal to resolve parking violations, by creating a loading zone plan for the Governors Grant Association, to be ratified during the April master board meeting. I volunteered to write the new mission statement for the Friends of Bridge Columbia. I have a growing concern for the pedestrian safety on Route one and I am currently investigating ways to improve safety in that area.
